With its new crystalline steel facade that exudes an industrial feel, this former granary attracts attention from afar. Located directly on one of the basins of the Nordhavn, it is flanked by a multi-storey car park building with a roof that is accessible to the public, and an office tower.

Nordhavn, one of Copenhagen’s largest development areas, is an urban district currently in a state of change. Old warehouses are being converted, the density is being increased, and new land is even being created in the large old harbour basins. While housing makes up the major part of the new construction work, cultural facilities, offices and commercial functions are also planned. The ferry and container port is still in operation, making the new city district a special and very busy place.

Cobe won the urban planning competition for this area in 2008 and, by a stroke of luck, were directly commissioned by a private investor to convert the grain silo into high quality apartments.
